JOBS & JOB TRAINING

Career Information
A wide assortment of materials on “Careers” is available for use through
the Transition Resource Library for use at schools.

Job Exploration
An opportunity for learners to experience a variety of occupations within the
community. With or without Job Coach support.

Entry Level Training
An opportunity to receive on site training in a specific job or job family for a
limited time period.

Skill Training
Training in a specific occupational field offered in a school based or
community setting.

HOME LIVING

Home Living Training
Development of Home Living Skills in the home or in community sites.

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Community Orientation
Contacts with community resources that have an impact on a student’s life.
(Police, fire, human services, corrections, government, health, etc.)

Mobility Training
Training learners to travel as independently as possible.

LEISURE AND RECREATION

Leisure Time Participation
Involving learners in leisure time activities of choice. (Arranging,
assisting, supporting.)

POST SECONDARY TRAINING AND LEARNING

Post High School Planning
Assist in IEP team planning to develop a post high school transition plan
based on individual interests, aptitude, school experience, life skills abilities
and choice.
